How to Install LogMeIn on Ubuntu
For Linux or Ubuntu users, you can get LogMeIn to work on your operating system by installing the LogMeIn Hamachi for Linux plugin. Once installed, the software gives you the full features and tools you would find on the PC or Mac clients, but based entirely through your Web browser. As of the date of publication, the plugin is beta software, so it's possible you may experience a few technical issues or glitches.

Type "logmein.com/labs" into the browser's address bar. Press "Enter" on your keyboard to visit the site.

Determine if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit. If you are unsure, it is usually safe to go with a 32-bit version of a new software package, but most are programmed to work with 64-bit machines, too.

Click the LogMeIn Hamachi link for the DEB extension for either the 32-bit or 64-bit version. The DEB package should download automatically into your "Downloads" folder.

Double-click the downloaded file to load it in the "Ubuntu Software Center."

Click "Install." The installer will notify you when it is completed. If there are known errors or additional packages you need to install for your machine, the software center will let you know.

Open a browser window, type "logmein.com" into the address field and hit "Enter." Sign into your account as you normally would. After signing in, the LogMeIn for Linux plugin loads a fully featured client with tools.

LogMeIn does not recommend using the Linux plugin on a production machine, because the VPN client is not fully stable and only beta software. Use at your own risk.
