How to Make Sure a Bustier Fits Properly
A bustier refers to an undergarment designed for women that is similar in form to a corset, but unlike a corset, it has supportive cups for the breasts. Brides often wear bustiers under their wedding dresses, as a bustier prevents pockets of fat along the back and waist from showing out of the folds of the weddings dress. A bustier smoothes out lower body flaws while offering the support of a brassiere. Ensuring that you have the best possible fit from your bustier is crucial in giving you the best look.

1
Check the size of the bustier. The bustier size should be identical to your bra size.
-
2
Examine how the underwire of the cups wraps around and under your chest. It should give you the lift and support of a bra with a snug sensation. Loose or excess material is a sign it's too big. If you feel the bustier sliding slightly down your back as you walk or move your arms over your head, it's also too big.

Examine the supporting side wires of the bustier and the cinching fabric that goes across your waist. Your waist should look significantly smaller, but not uncomfortably so. Discomfort from tightness is a sign it's too small. If your waist doesn't look significantly smaller, this is a sign the bustier is too big.

Tips & Warnings
Certain fabrics or embellishments can make the bustier uncomfortable. Stick to super-soft stretchy fabrics.
