How to Install Fonts in Kompozer

While basic fonts create easy-to-read text, newer and custom fonts set website design apart. If you use Kompozer to change your stylesheet, you'll notice right away that the font selection is limited to basic TrueType, or .TTF, fonts like Helvetica or Arial. Once you download new .OTF -- also known as Opentype, another font file type -- or .TTF files to your computer, your system automatically installs fonts for all programs, including Kompozer.

Instructions

    • 1

Download font files to your computer or upload fonts to your computer from a disc. Open the font's folder and leave it open.

    • 2

Click "Start" and navigate to "Control Panel." Click "Appearance and Personalization," and double-click "Fonts" to open your system font folder.

    • 3

Drag the font file from the open font folder to the system "Fonts" folder.

    • 4

Open a stylesheet in Kompozer. Click on the "Format|Font" submenu and select one of your new fonts from the list.
