How to Block Updates on Adobe CS4
The Create Suite version 4 series of products by Adobe includes the ability to update the software over the Internet. By default, the Adobe software periodically checks the Adobe servers over the Internet to see if newer versions of the installed software are available. This may not be a desirable situation for your operation. For example, many Adobe installations run third-party plugin software that is version-specific. The installation of updates in these situations could result in the third-party software not working. You can block updates to the Adobe CS4 software through the DNS HOSTS file.
