How to Turn Off Global Tempo in "Ableton"

One of Ableton Live's strengths is the digital audio workstation's ability to adjust the tempo of imported audio clips to match the global tempo settings. This "warping" feature allows you to quickly mix tracks that have different tempos, and to seamlessly integrate samples into your digital music productions. There may be times when you don't want Ableton to warp audio clips to match the global tempo -- if you're producing a podcast or radio show, for example. Disable the program's quantization and warping features to turn off global tempo matching in Ableton.

Double-click the "Ableton Live" desktop icon to start the program. Open the "Options" menu and select "Preferences." Click the "Record Warp Launch" button in the "Preferences" pop-up window that opens.
