How to Catch Rayquaza in "Pokemon"
With its serpent-like body and powerful attack and defense moves ranging over 150, Rayquaza is a creature that would benefit any trainer's Pokemon party. This legendary Dragon-/Flying-type Pokemon can only be caught in the "Pokemon Ruby," "Pokemon Sapphire" and "Pokemon Emerald" versions of the game. Although you will have to scale the treacherous Sky Pillar, the journey to the top of the mountain will be worth the trip.

1
Travel to Pacifidlog town using your Pokemon's Fly ability. Make sure you have a Pokemon that can use the Surf ability, a Mach Bike and a PokeBag full of Ultra Balls and Timer Balls.
-
2
Walk east from Pacifidlog town towards Route 131. Continue walking until you reach the shoreline. Use your Pokemon's Surf ability and surf east while staying close to the northern edge of the route.

3
Travel north through the rock divide and follow the path until you reach the Sky Pillar.
-
4
Equip your Mach Bike and ascend up the stairs by pressing the "Up" arrow on your console. You will need to ride over the cracks on the Mach Bike to avoid falling down to the previous level. Make sure to continue holding the "Up" arrow so you do not slow down or stop.

5
Continue the path north until you reach the roof of the Sky Pillar. Rayquaza will be waiting for you on the top level of the Sky Pillar. Engage it in battle and use your Pokemon's moves to lower its health points (HP). Since Rayquaza is high-leveled, you will need to use your Timer Balls or Ultra Balls to successfully catch it.
