1
Pull out the fallen gravestone. Remove it completely from the spot where it is installed.
-
2
Dig out the hole, if necessary, so that it fits the shape of the bottom of the gravestone exactly. You may actually need to add extra dirt and pat it down with your shovel. The hole should be approximately two to three feet deep.
-
-
3
Create holes if the gravestone is set on steel bars. These bars will be inserted into the holes and then the gravestone can be placed on top of them to keep it from falling over again. Place the steel bars into the holes.
-
4
Mix together cement and water in a cement mixer. Pour the cement into the hole while keeping the steel rods straight. You should have at least four inches of space between the bottom of the concrete and the level ground. Add a few additional inches if you are not using steel bars. Let the cement cure for a few days.

5
Set the gravestone on top of the steel bars and on top of the cured cement you poured into the hole. Fill in extra dirt around the gravestone if necessary to make sure it will not fall over again.
