How to Withdraw PayPal in Pounds

You can convert 20 different currencies to Pounds in PayPal.

PayPal is a useful way to send and receive money online, as it allows you to deal in more currencies than would be easily manageable directly with your bank. You can transfer money to bank accounts in several countries and instantly exchange your funds in 24 different currencies. Converting your money to pounds from any currency before you transfer it to a British bank account avoids the bank's own conversion fees.

Instructions

Convert your Funds to Pounds

1. Click "Currency Converter" in the "PayPal balance" box of your account home screen.

2. Click "British Pound" from the "Select new currency" drop-down list, then click "Add Currency," if you haven't previously made a transaction on PayPal.

3. Type the amount of currency you want to convert in the "From" field of the "Currency Exchange" box. Select "British Pound Balance" from the "To" drop-down list, then click "Calculate."

4. Check the currency conversion amount in the exchange box, then click "Start Exchange."

5. Click "Exchange Currency" to confirm that you want to exchange your balance to pounds.

Withdraw Your Funds

1. Hover your mouse over "Withdraw" in the menu bar at the top of the page, then click "Transfer to Bank Account."

2. Click "British Pounds" from the "Currency" drop-down list, then type the amount you want to withdraw in the "Amount" field.

3. Click to choose your bank account from the "To" drop-down list, then click "Continue."

4. Click "Submit" to complete the withdrawal.
