How to Split Stacks in EQ2
"EverQuest II" (EQ2) is a fantasy-themed massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Sony Online Entertainment for the PC. In "Everquest II," players store earned items, such as quest rewards, enemy loot and crafting materials, in their inventories. Some items of the same type can be stacked in the inventory to conserve space. Players who wish to trade or sell limited quantities of stacked, identical items can split large stacks into multiple smaller stacks or as single items.

Log in to "EverQuest II" with your user name and password. When you have entered the game world, press "I" to open your inventory window.

Press and hold down the "Shift" key. Click on a stack of items in your inventory and drag the stack to an open inventory slot while holding "Shift." A pop-up window will appear when you drop the stack into the new inventory slot, allowing you to specify how to split the stacks. You can only split a single stack into two smaller stacks at a time; however, you can split each smaller stack again until you have distributed your initial stack in the desired manner.

Enter the number of items you want to split from the stack in the text field and press "Enter" to distribute the stacked items accordingly. The items you have split from the original stack will appear in the selected inventory slot.
