Put your business on the map with a customized Google Places listing.

Whether you run an electrical store or a coffee shop, the free business listing that appears in a graphic "bubble" on Google maps can promote your business and help customers find your location. Once you have your Google Places business listing, Google will display maps containing your listing in its search engine results, particularly when users search for services and products in a specific country, state or city. You can customize the text and images in the graphic bubble that appears in Google maps with the edit function in your Google Places account.

Find the listing for the business that you want to edit in the main "Dashboard" screen.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you have multiple business listings, you might have uploaded a spreadsheet data file to Google Places with information for all your businesses. You can customize the listings by selecting "Edit Your Data File" from the main page of your Google Places account. Once you've made your changes, click "Publish Modified Locations."

  • You can't edit or remove customer reviews of your business from the Google business listing. If you believe that a review is inaccurate or unfair, select "Flag as Inappropriate." Google will remove any review that breaches its comment posting policy.
