How to Draw Daisies
Daisies bring a smile to the face flower lovers with their bright, happy colors and simple, delicate shape. This iconic springtime beauty comes in an array of colors, including purple, pink, red and yellow. The popular combination of white petals and yellow center offers a signature look for this perky flower. Once you complete the outline, feel free to color in the image. You may add yellow to the center to create a white daisy or experiment with a rainbow of hues.
Instructions
-
-
1
Draw a large circle.
-
2
Draw a small circle in the center of the large one.
-
-
3
Bisect the large circle vertically with a long line.
-
4
Draw a long horizontal line that divides the large circle in two.
-
5
Draw elongated oval shapes that touch the small circle at the base and the large circle at the top. Evenly space these shapes with a small distance between each one. Draw these shapes so that they radiate from the center of the circle. Use the vertical and horizontal lines to keep the petals on the top, bottom, left and right at the proper angle. Draw the petals in between these four so that they fan around the center of the flower. This forms the first row of petals on the daisy.
-
6
Draw a second row of petals on the daisy. Draw these petals in between the petals on the first row. Make these petals so that only the tops and sides are visible. This makes them appear to lie behind the first row.
-
7
Fill the small circle with tiny circles to form the center of the flower.
-
8
Add two lines of soft shadow to each petal for added dimension.
-
9
Erase all visible portions of the large circle.
-
10
Add two arching lines to the base of the flower to form the stem.
