How to Decorate Grandma's Walker
Grandma may have to use a walker, but that doesn't mean she's not any fun. Help her jazz up her walker to fit her personality and make her feel less self-conscious about being disabled. And you can change out her walker decorations for holidays and special occasions to add even more bling.

1
Spray paint grandma's walker in her favorite color. Tape off the rubber parts, then spray paint with a high-gloss paint for metal. Apply two to three coats, allowing the paint to dry between coats.
-
2
Use wire to attach a bicycle basket to the front of grandma's walker. If you want to, decorate the basket with flowers, fringe or sparkly jewels.

3
Use small, colorful or comical stickers to decorate the legs and cross beams. Start with just a few to allow friends and family to add some, too. It's more fun and memorable when others also contribute.
-
4
Jazz it up with side mirrors and a bicycle horn. You can even throw on a pair of fuzzy dice if you're the kitschy type. Add some chrome accessories to resemble tail fins, hood ornaments, and so on.

5
Wire a small license plate with grandma's name to the front of the basket and add a few funny bumper stickers placed strategically around.
-
6
Wrap battery-operated lights around the legs along with a sparkly garland secured with tape or wire for holiday decorating that is even more fun. Cover the basket in holiday wrapping paper and hang ornaments from it.

Tips & Warnings
Spend a little extra and have grandma's walker airbrush-painted by a professional.
Make sure that the walker feet and collapsible arms are always free of items that could cause a fall.
