How to Disconnect a Facebook Friend From AIM
AIM users have the option of connecting their Facebook accounts to the AIM application so they can chat with AIM friends as well as friends on Facebook Chat. If you'd rather not have your Facebook friends in your AIM Buddy List anymore, you can disconnect Facebook from AIM, which signs you out of Facebook Chat and prevents Facebook Friends from sending you messages.

Click the "Options" menu at the top of the AIM screen. This displays a drop-down menu.

Click the "Sign out of Facebook Chat" option. This disconnects your Facebook Friends from your AIM Buddy List.

Undo this process and reconnect your Facebook Friends to your AIM Buddy List by clicking the "Sign into Facebook Chat" link under the "Facebook Friends" group on your Buddy List.
