How to Score on Planet Defender
"Planet Defender" is a free Flash-based game developed for Kongregate, a gaming website. Your goal is to defend your planet from onslaughts of invading ships by using a powered-up spaceship you can upgrade with more powerful weapons, bombs, improved shields and faster engines. There are a total of 15 levels to choose from and the enemies become faster and more powerful as you progress. The controls are simple and use a combination of keyboard keys and mouse movements.

Move your ship around the screen using the "W," "S," "A" and "D" keys on your keyboard. These move you up, down, left and right, respectively. Press the "Shift" key while moving around the screen to activate your turbo engines.

Use your mouse to move the on-screen targeting reticle. Left-click to fire your weapon. Switch weapons by pressing the number key associated with the weapon you want to use. For example, your Plasma Cannon is associated with the "1" key.

Shoot down enemy ships using any of your weapons to score points and earn money. Use money to purchase new weapons and ship upgrades in the in-game store.
