How to Reuse AeroGarden Seed Pods

The AeroGarden is an indoor planting system that uses water instead of soil. Known as hydroponics, this type of system circulates water, oxygen and nutrients over the roots of plants to provide all the required elements needed to grow plants indoors without soil. The initial kits that come with the AeroGarden contain plastic pods filled with a sponge material for planting seeds. New pods and pod fillers are available through the company, but, depending on the plants you've previously grown, you should be able to reuse the pods without buying new parts if the filler is cleaned and disinfected. Does this Spark an idea?
