How to Make Cute Pixels
Unlike traditional digital art, which aims to emulate the smooth blending of paper art, pixel art highlights its computer-created nature. When you zoom in on a pixel art image, you will see that each pixel consists of a single color. To create cute pixel art, you can draw a character pixel by pixel. Typically, cute characters display large eyes, wide smiles and childlike bodies and often wear pastel colors such as light blue or pink.

From the color swatch, select a color one shade lighter than the original color. You can also use the color wheel tool to create a color.
