How to Track Indian Mail

Track mail delivery online with India Post.

In India, mail is delivered much the same way it is delivered in the United States. While the U.S. has the U.S. Postal Service (USPS), India has India Post. Indian residents mail letters, bills and packages via India Post. Like the USPS, India Post provides tracking numbers for any letter or package for a fee if you request it; tracking numbers are called eMO PNR numbers. To track mail shipped via India Post, you need the eMO PNR number located on your package.

Instructions

    • 1

Obtain the eMO PNR number of the mail you want to track. If you shipped the item, you will find the eMO PNR number on your shipping receipt. If you are the recipient of the package, obtain the number from the person or company that shipped the package.

View the results of your shipment. Results show when your package was shipped, where it was shipped, where it has been and where it currently is. You will also see when your package is slated for delivery.
