How to Make Toshiba Computer Visuals Smaller

Bigger text and objects may be easier to see on your Toshiba's screen, but smaller visuals allow more to be displayed without scrolling. You can also arrange several windows on the screen to circumvent the need to move back and forth between them. Although Windows 7 allows you to increase the display size through through the Control Panel's "Appearance and Personalization" settings, you cannot decrease the size. Therefore, to make your Toshiba computer's visuals smaller, you need to adjust the display resolution.

Instructions

    • 1

Right-click an empty area of the desktop and select "Screen Resolution."

    • 2

Click the drop-down menu next to "Resolution" and select a higher resolution than the one currently selected. Larger numbers equate to higher resolutions. The higher resolution allow more pixels to display in the screen, which effectively makes everything appear smaller.

    • 3

Click "OK" to save your settings.

    • 4

Click "Keep Settings" to keep your selected resolution. Otherwise, the settings will automatically revert to the previously selected resolution.
