Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Buttons (or Spoon)
  1. Step 1

Choose one player to be "It."

  2. Step 2

Direct all other players to leave the room or cover their eyes.

  3. Step 3

Have It hide a button somewhere in the room.

  4. Step 4

Tell the other players to begin looking for the button.

  5. Step 5

Let It tell the players if they're "hot," "warm" or "cold." Hot means the player is very near the button, warm means he or she is getting close, and cold means he or she is nowhere near the button.

  6. Step 6

    Find the button to win.

  7. Step 7

Become It for the next round when you find the button.

Tips & Warnings
  • You may want to create some restrictions on where the button can be hidden. Otherwise, you'll have players digging in your plants and shaking your drapes.
  • Coins or other small objects can be substituted for the button.
  • Small children could swallow a button. If you play this game with them, use a larger object such as a spoon.
