How to Use a Samsung Plasma TV as a Laptop Monitor
You can connect your laptop to the inputs on your Samsung Plasma TV so you can use the HDTV as a monitor. The video output on your laptop allows you to hook up external displays to your computer's graphics card with just a single cable. Locate the VGA port on the side of your laptop.

Connect one side of the VGA cable to the port on the laptop and screw down the fasteners on either side of the cable to secure the connection.

Run the other end of the cable to the "PC IN" port on the input panel of the Samsung TV.
