How to Send a Texting Signature to Your Phone

A texting signature can be sent using the native options in your cellphone.

A texting signature can be a simple note or a set of initials created on cellphones. A texting signature is automatically attached to every outgoing text message sent from your cellphone. Access your messaging options to add a texting signature.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" button on your cellphone.

2. Select the "Settings" options and then select "Messages." Choose the "Signature" option. Enter a custom signature using the keypad of your cellphone. Press "Save."

3. Navigate to the "Messages" option on the home screen of your cellphone. Select "New Message" or press the icon for creating a new text message. In the recipient cellphone number, enter your own cellphone number. Press the "Send" button to send a blank message.

4. View the new message in your inbox. The texting signature that you set up will appear in the text message.

Tips & Warnings

• Consult the user guide of your cellphone model as the precise instructions and menu options may vary. Some cellphones including the iPhone do not have the texting signature feature.
