Creative Way to Ask a Guy to Prom

Instead of waiting to be asked, go get your own date to prom.

Prom is a celebration at the end of the year for high school upperclassmen. It is a formal occasion, and the teens often take dates. Many girls will wait for the perfect guy to ask them to prom, but instead of waiting girls can just go ask that guy out themselves. Many guys may be relieved to not have to ask the girl out. This invitation can be done in a way that is creative and memorable.

Instructions

1. Pick out the guy that you want to ask to prom. Ideally, the guy should be someone that you are interested in, but also someone that you are familiar enough with that he can appreciate the work that you put into the invitation. The guy's first thought when you ask him to prom should not be trying to figure out who you are.

2. Slip a note in his locker at the end of the day that has a clue to another location.

3. Attach a balloon or other object that is easy to identify to your next clue. Repeat this process a couple more times, however often you feel is necessary.

4. Set up an invitation display. If you know a particular band or song that he likes, have it playing in the background. You could bake him a small snack or have a couple of drinks waiting for you two to consume while you discuss your prom plans. Decorate the area with some flowers to make the scene more romantic. Set them up as a display, not as a present.

5. Formally ask the guy to prom once he arrives at the location. Ideally, he will say yes and the two of you can begin discussing plans for prom.

Tips & Warnings

• Keep the destinations of your clues relatively close together. Finding you should not become a chore for him.

• Ask your friends for help in monitoring his progress of finding you.
