How to Make Giant Foam Dice

Make giant dice out of foam for kids.

Giant dice can make learning and games more fun for kids. They are also very quiet to use if they are being used in a classroom setting. The dice can be customized using any colors or materials to make them exactly how you want them to look. Foam is inexpensive and can be found at craft stores. Add some fun to a game of Yahtzee, or teach kids letters, numbers or colors using the giant foam dice.

Things You'll Need

• Foam blocks
• Colored craft foam
• Craft knife
• Scissors
• Craft glue or hot glue gun
• Permanent markers

Instructions

1. Cut the foam blocks to the desired shape and size using a sharp craft knife.

2. Cut squares out of colored craft foam to fit each side of the dice.

3. Glue the sides on to each die with craft glue or a hot glue gun. Trim any excess foam with the scissors.

4. Draw the dots on the dice with permanent marker. Alternately, use different colored markers to write letters, colors or questions on the dice for something different, or to use the dice as a learning tool.
