How to Clean a Jelly Bag

Jelly is a type of fruit preserve that doesn't have chunks of fruit or seeds in it. One way to create this is to strain the jam through a jelly bag. Jelly bags are made of a fine fabric that will hold all of the seeds and fruit chunks while allowing the liquid to strain through the cloth.   Fill a sink with hot water.

  Add 2 tbsp. liquid dish soap to the hot water. Mix until the water is soapy.

  Put the bag into the hot water and let it soak for 1 hour. Add more hot water to the sink when it cools off.

  Scrub the bag with a soft-bristled brush. Scrub on both sides of the bag until it is completely clean.
