How to Troubleshoot a GE A835

How to Troubleshoot a GE A835 thumbnail
The GE camera can capture the sometimes difficult panoramic landscape view.

The GE A835 captures both photo images and video footage, serving two electronic purposes in one device. This digital camera has a compact, slim-lined body as well, making it effortless for users to handle and carry around. Face detection makes sure users get one of the most important elements of a photo. Red-eye removal makes sure people's eyes look natural in a photo. However, the GE camera occasionally encounters operational issues that it cannot remedy on its own. In these instances, users will need to manually troubleshoot the device. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Open the battery compartment and make sure the battery is properly inserted if the camera does not power on. The camera will automatically turn off if the battery runs out. Charge the battery to full capacity so that it has sufficient power to operate the camera.

    • 2

Clean a dirty lens with a soft cloth or tissue if the pictures are coming out blurry. Make sure no lint or debris from the cloth remains on the lens after cleaning it. Select "Image Stabilization" mode when that function automatically appears during picture-taking.

    • 3

Delete unwanted or poor-quality snapshots from the memory card if the camera is unable to capture and store new images or video. Alternatively, use a second memory card that has free space for new multimedia files. Remove the memory card from the camera and make sure the security mechanism on the side of the card is not in the "On" or "Locked" position.

    • 4

Turn the dial to a mode that shoots still images, taking it out of "Playback" mode, if the camera does not capture images after pressing the shutter button.

    • 5

Check to make sure the cable connecting the camera to the printer is secure if images are not coming out of the printer. Verify that the printer is adequately stocked with ink and paper supplies. Check the paper trays and document feeders for paper jams. Make sure the printer is "PictBridge" compatible, like the camera.
