How to Get Safari Zone Customizations
In the "Pokemon" video games, the Safari Zone is a reoccurring minigame that allows you to explore a Pokemon preserve and capture rare species. In "Pokemon HeartGold" and "Pokemon SoulSilver," for the Nintendo DS, you have the option of customizing the Safari Zone to attract different types of creatures. Before you can customize the area, you must interact with Baoba, the Safari Zone manger, and pass his tests.

5
Retrieve the medicine by visiting the pharmacy on Cianwood City. This island city is located southwest of Olivine City.
-
6
Give Jasmine the medicine. Your exit from the building will trigger a call from Baoba. The Safari Zone is now open.
-
7
Travel to the Safari Zone by heading northwest from Cianwood City. On your journey, you will pass through routes 47 and 48.

Pass the first test by entering the Safari Zone and capturing a Geodude in the Peak Area.

Tips & Warnings
Certain combinations of objects and areas will lure out new Pokemon. For example, if you place six plains objects in the Wetland area, Surskit will appear in the Safari Zone.
Baoba may deny you access to the Object Arrangement feature if you don't possess the National Pokedex. You can obtain the National Pokedex from Professor Oak after you defeat the Pokemon League Champion.
As you continue to play through the game, Baoba will call periodically to announce the addition of the new custom objects.
