How to Silence Phone Numbers in a Samsung Cellphone

Change settings in your Samsung phone to assign individual ringers.

Silencing unwanted calls on your Samsung phone can eliminate the stress of hearing annoying ringtones at inopportune times. To silence a phone number on your Samsung handset, you must first save the phone number to your Contacts list. Saving the number to your contacts list allows you to assign silent ringtones to individual phone numbers, rather than silencing all incoming calls.

Instructions

1. Open your phone's "Contacts" menu.

2. Select the contact that you want to silence.

3. Select "Options."

4. Scroll to "Ringtone."

5. Select "Silent" as the ringtone for that contact.

6. Press "Save." Your phone will no longer produce an audible sound when that contact calls.
