How to Donate a Deceased Person's Clothing
One good way to honor a deceased person's memory and help others in need at the same time is by donating the deceased person's clothing to local charities which specialize in giving clothing to families who need it. Before bringing the clothing, first sort through each item and make sure they don't have any permanent stains or holes in them. It's also a good idea to wash the clothing items before taking them to the charities.

1
Visit career counseling centers. If you have a lot of professional clothes that the deceased left behind, meet with the center's director and state that you want to drop off some of the clothing for job applicants who can't afford to purchase outfits to wear to their interviews or new jobs.

2
Visit local nonprofit organizations. Before going to the places, organize your items of clothing in containers with labels such as "tennis shoes," "winter dresses," "business suits" or "baby boys' shoes." Also contact each organization and inquire about what types of donations they're currently seeking and what restrictions they have regarding the donations.

Bring the clothing to homeless shelters in your city. Meet with the shelters' directors and let them look over the clothing you have in the containers. In addition to the clothing, include some toys, if any, that the deceased person left behind for the children at the shelter to play with.
