How to Copy Text Styles in Dreamweaver CS3
Writing and designing a Web page can be a time-consuming task. One way to speed up the process is to copy the formatting and style from one section of text and apply it to another section of text so that you don't have to format each block of text separately. There is no automatic tool for copying text styles in Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 Web design software, but there is a workaround that you can use to accomplish this task.

Launch Adobe Dreamweaver CS3.

Click "File" on the main menu, and then click "Open" to open the document with the text style that you want to copy. Click the "Design View" option in the main program window to view the page in design mode rather than code mode.

Scroll to the location on the page that contains the text style that you want to copy. Highlight the text and press "Ctrl" and "C" on the computer keyboard to copy the text.

Scroll to the location on the page where you want to enter text with the same style as the text you've just copied. If you want to add this text to another page, click "File" and "Open" from the main menu to open the relevant page and then scroll to the correct location on this page.

Click "Edit" on the main program menu. Select "Paste Special" from the drop-down menu and choose the "Text With Structure Plus Full Formatting" option in the dialog box. This pastes the copied text with all the original style and formatting.

Highlight the text that you've just pasted and type in the replacement text. This deletes and overwrites the pasted text with new text. However, Dreamweaver will apply the copied style and formatting options from the pasted text to the new text that you enter into the document.

Configure Adobe Dreamweaver to retain style and formatting as the default option when you copy and paste text. Click "Edit" from the main menu, and then select Preferences" from the drop-down menu. Click "Copy/Paste" and select "Text With Structure Plus Full Formatting" from the options list. Click "OK" to save your preferences.
