User-developed modules and plug-ins have helped make Joomla popular.

Joomla is a content management system for websites. The free Joomla platform allows users to create a website from the back-end of the Joomla system. Joomla automatically populates the links and content on the page according to the back-end system. The webmaster accesses the Joomla platform via the login page. This login page is designed in PHP and can be edited with Joomla. The graphics and other front-end features on the page can be edited and customized without compromising functionality.

Instructions

    • 1

Access the Joomla site via the server. Login to the server that hosts the Joomla site. This can be done via FTP or through the server's control panel. The exact method will vary from user to user.

    • 2

Locate the directory for the Joomla site. For example, it could be called; "MYJOOMLASITE.com."

    • 3

Double click the "Administrator" folder once in the Joomla site's main directory.

    • 4
