Almost all Web browsers allow you to convert IE Favorites to Bookmarks.

Favorites in Internet Explorer (IE) are lists of websites that the browser remembers so you can conveniently access them when you need to. In other Web browsers, Favorites are called Bookmarks, and they serve the same purpose. If you want to switch Web browsers or use another browser in addition to IE, you'll want to have access to your Favorites in that browser. IE allows you to easily convert IE Favorites to Bookmarks.

Open Internet Explorer. Choose "File" from the IE menu bar. Choose "Import and Export."

Tips & Warnings

  • Some Web browsers allow you to import Favorites directly from Internet Explorer. During your first use of the browser, it may prompt you to automatically import Favorites at that time. This eliminates the need to import Favorites into a file.
