How to Put a Quantcast Tag on a WordPress Blog

Quantcast is a website statistics service that lets you measure your website visitors and collect data to help you determine how well your site is performing. The Quantcast service works with most content management systems, including the WordPress blog engine. Adding the Quantcast tag to your WordPress site is the first step in the process of measuring your traffic.

Instructions

1. Sign in to your Quantcast account. Click on "Generate a Tag" beneath "Quantify a Site."

2. Copy the Quantcast tag to your clipboard. Leave the Quantcast site open and access your WordPress administration panel in a new tab or window.

3. Click on the "Appearance" sidebar tab, and then click "Editor." Click on "Footer.php" to open the footer file.

4. Scroll to the bottom of the file. You should see the closing body tag (</body).

5. Paste the Quantcast tag right before the closing body tag. Click "Update File."

6. Return to the Quantcast page. Click "Scan the Site." The system will verify the code and automatically begin tracking your website visits.
