How to Fix the Spacebar on a MacBook Pro
Laptops like the Apple MacBook Pro have much more fragile keyboards than a desktop. You must take great care when cleaning or operating them not to pop off a key. They are held in place by small plastic hinges that can unclip with very little pressure. If you find yourself with a MacBook minus a space bar you needn't worry. Simply clip the key back in place to continue using your laptop.

1
Reseat the three white plastic hinges under the space bar. These hinges are flat on the bottom with a rounded hinge angling up from the bottom. Insert them into the three slots so that they angle up away from the palm rest.
-
2
Press each hinge down lightly to pop them into place. They have small plastic pins that will clip in to place.

3
Hold the space bar so that the metal wire is running along the bottom of the key. Angle the wire outwards so the two ends are protruding out from the key.
-
4
Slide each end of the metal wires in to the metal holes on the left and right side of the space bar's slot. Close the key down over the hinges and press it down. You should hear a click as it pops in to place.
