How to Disable Vertical View on a HP Mini
The HP Mini is a lightweight "netbook" mini-notebook with many features in common with full-sized laptops. The HP Mini weighs in at only about 3 pounds and will fit in a purse or small bag. As with the iPad, the screen on the HP Mini will flip vertically or horizontally when certain key combinations are invoked. However, occasionally the screen will flip into the vertical view and will not return to the horizontal mode. In this case, you can manually flip the screen back to the horizontal view.

Log onto the HP Mini notebook while the screen is in vertical view.

Press and hold the "CTRL" and "ALT" keys on the HP Mini keyboard.

Press the "Up" arrow to manually turn the screen to horizontal view.
