Instructions for an Ativa CX108 Paper Shredder
Identity theft is on the rise. One of the most common ways identities are stolen is by thieves looking in your garbage for thing,s such as bank statements, preapproved credit card offers and other financial information. One way to rectify this situation is to use a shredder, such as the Ativa CX108, which cuts paper into thin lines. When mixed with other shredded paper, it becomes difficult, if not impossible, to put the paper back together.

Line the bottom part of the Ativa shredder with a plastic bag; a grocery bag is acceptable and helps the environment.

Place the shredder head atop the bottom part of the shredder.

Plug the shredder into a power outlet.

Place the papers you want to shred into the paper slot.

Flick the switch on top of the shredder to "On" to shred. Turn it off when finished shredding.

Tips & Warnings
Ativa recommends you lubricate your shredder with oil or lubrication paper every two months or 30 shreddings, whichever comes first.
Do not stick credit cards, CDs or paperclips into the shredder. Doing so may damage the shredder.
