Facebook Ads allow you to reach a large audience on the Facebook Web site. You can tailor your ads to reach a very general audience, or you can specify a more specific audience for your ads. You can target users by age, location, sex, specific interests, relationship status, languages spoken, education and place of business. Facebook offers suggested bids for your demographic selections, but you do not have to follow their recommendations. You can choose to lower your cost-per-click (CPC) by simply lowering your CPC bid on the Facebook Web site.

      Open your browser, and enter "www.facebook.com/ads" in the address bar. Press "Enter."

      Click the "manage your existing ads" link near the top of the page.

      Locate your campaign name in your list of past and present advertising campaigns.

      Locate the "Bid" heading. Click the pencil icon next to your bid.

    • 5

      Lower your bid to lower your CPC. Click the "Save" button.
