Bluetooth technology allows wireless data transfer between the Bluetooth enabled devices. The technology features transferring of multimedia content including audio files, video files, business cards and pictures from one device to another device. Cell phones come equipped with high resolution cameras for taking snapshots and capturing video clips. You can easily send these files to a computer with Bluetooth enabled adapter.

      Connect the USB Bluetooth adapter to an available USB port on your computer and enable it with discovery mode turned on. Typically, Bluetooth can be turned on from the main "Menu" of your cell phone. Select "Settings and Connectivity" or "Tools" and then select "Bluetooth" option. Choose "ON" to enable the Bluetooth adapter.

      Turn on the Bluetooth feature on both devices. If you sending video files from your cell phone, enable Bluetooh and set to discoverable by other devices. Also make sure the Bluetooth adapter is turned on and discoverable on your computer. If your computer is not equipped with an integrated Bluetooth adapter, you can purchase an external USB Bluetooth adapter from a computer supply store.

      Choose the video file you want to transfer by locating it under "Gallery" category and then open the "Videos" or "Video clips" folder. Select "Options" and then choose "Send." Select "Via Bluetooth."

      Select the device you want to send the video clip such as your computer from the list of available devices. Select "More devices" if your computer is not listed. Enter the Bluetooth pass key, if prompted on the computer. Typically the pass key is "0000." Consult your device's user manual to find the Bluetooth pass key.

      Click the option to accept the video file on "Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard" on your computer in order to receive the file.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure both Bluetooth enabled devices are within 10 meters of each other. Bluetooth signal can be disturbed by other electronic devices such as wireless router and FM radio. Bluetooth options can vary on different cellphone models, consult the user manual of your cellphone for precise instructions.
