Check the email address you used to sign up for Facebook. If you were required to use a student email address (college), or receive an invitation (high school students) you signed up before September 2006. In 2006, Facebook was opened to non-students.

Go the profile page of one of the first people you friended on Facebook. Click "See Friendship" on the top right and you'll see how long you've been friends with that person. This is best if you joined Facebook recently and remember who you first friended.

Click "Download" to receive a file that contains all of your Facebook activity. This will include the date you joined. This contains everything you've posted, even messages and other private information. You'll be required to verify your identity before downloading the file.
