How to Type Numbers on a PC Program Skype Keyboard

Skype to Skype phone calls can include video and texting along with voice communication.

The Skype digital communications program enables computer users to contact others via instant messaging, video chat and VoIP (Voice over IP) phone calls using a Skype compatible phone handset. If you do not have a phone handset that works with Skype, you can dial phone numbers directly from your computer using the Skype program onscreen keypad included with the Skype program.

Instructions

1. Open the Skype program and click the "View" menu and then click to select the "Default View" item in the menu that appears.

2. Click the "Call Phones" item below the contact list displayed in the left pane of the "Skype" window.

3. Click the menu box that displays a flag and click on the name of the country to which you are calling.

4. Click each number in the phone number you wish to dial and confirm that the phone number displayed is the number you wish to dial.

5. Click the green "Phone" icon to dial the number and make a phone call.
