How to Disable an Aero Mouse Pointer Animation
The "Aero" graphics scheme in Windows 7 adds several visual effects to the operating system's desktop interface, such as animated transitions when switching between programs, preview images of running programs and window transparency. It also adds a mouse pointer that displays an animated ring whenever the operating system is busy. If you enjoy the Aero visual scheme but dislike the new mouse pointer, you can use a pointer more similar to the one in previous Windows versions without displaying Aero entirely.
