How to Play Dot-to-Dot

Players take turns connecting dots to make squares. This simple game involves a lot of strategy.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Fill a paper with evenly spaced rows of dots at least half an inch apart.
Step2
Take turns drawing lines connecting one dot to another with vertical or horizontal strokes.
Step3
Write your initial in the box each time you complete a square, and take another turn.
Step4
Continue playing until all the dots on the page are connected.
Step5
Count how many initials each player has on the page. The player with the most wins.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you draw a line that creates two boxes, put your initial in both.
  • Younger children may need hints about where to draw their lines.
  • Make fewer dots for younger children and more dots for older children.
