How to Make Hotkeys in Maya 2010
Autodesk Maya, or Maya, is a 3D graphics design software program used to create and develop interactive 3D animations for different media, including television and video games. The software is highly customizable and comes with preset hotkeys for faster functionality. If you are used to certain presets from other software programs or simply want to make your own, it is easy to make your own hotkey presets in Maya.

Select "Window" from the top menu in Maya.

Select "Settings/Preferences" then select "Hotkey Editor."

Select a category from the leftmost menu.

Select a command in that category from the center menu. The "Hotkey" box on the right shows whether a key has been assigned to that particular command. If there is no hotkey assigned, the box is blank.

Click "Remove" beneath the "Hotkey" box if you wish to reassign the hotkey.

In the "Assign New Hotkey" section, enter the new hotkey you wish to use for that particular command and click "Assign." You can also select "Query" to see if that particular hotkey is assigned to another command.
