How to Determine a Midpoint for Multiple People to Meet
When you have to meet with multiple people, finding the appropriate venue is important for several reasons. For example, you want to make coming to the meeting as easy as possible for each participant. Finding the midpoint for the meeting participants is a way to ensure that each participant does not have to travel a great distance to attend. Google Maps can be used to find a suitable midpoint for your meeting.

1
Find out what type of venue that your meeting participants prefer to meet at. This makes it easier to find a suitable meeting point. For example, you may want to meet at a local coffee shop, bookstore or library.
-
2
Obtain the addresses of the people who will attend the meeting. If you are unable to get a specific address, obtain the cross-streets of the person's current location.
-
-
3
Enter the first address into Google Maps. Type the address into the box and then select "Search Maps." The maps will pinpoint the first address.
-
4
Select "Get Directions" and enter the address of the other participant. Google Maps will display both addresses in a single window, along with driving directions.
-
5
Select "Add Destination," located on the left side of the screen and enter another address. Repeat this step until all of the participants are included on the map.
-
6
Enter the type of venue that you decided to meet at. For example, enter "Restaurant" in the text box at the top of the screen to view restaurants in the area. Select a venue that is at the approximate midpoint between the addresses. Before making a final decision, discuss the options with the meeting participants. For example, a certain venue may be difficult to reach by subway.
