Certain software can keep your computer's keystrokes private.

If you suspect that your employer is trying to spy on what you are typing on your keyboard, there is a way to block your boss's prying eyes. Capturing keystrokes from another computer is called keylogging. There are many keylogging programs available for download, but fortunately, there are also many anti-keylogging programs that can be downloaded to block thieves or nosy bosses.

Instructions

Confront your employer about your suspicions. Do this in a calm but assertive manner. If your employer claims not to be monitoring your keystrokes but you still suspect the spying, you will need to install keylogger-blocking software.

Open your Internet browser and log on to qfxsoftware.com. QFX Software is the company behind KeyScrambler, a program that scrambles your keystrokes to keep them private.

Select the version of the KeyScrambler software you would like to download. The free version of the software protects your keystrokes from being viewed by third parties when you use Firefox, Internet Explorer and Flock. The professional edition costs $29.99 and protects your keystrokes when using 120 different Windows programs and more than 25 different Internet browsers and email services. The premium edition costs $44.99 and protects all of your keystrokes in more than 170 different Internet browsers and computer applications (both costs were as of June 2011).
