How Do I Make Magnets Stick to Me?
If you are trying to teach your children about magnetic attraction, you might experiment with different frequencies of attraction by purchasing several magnets -- or using magnets from your refrigerator -- and testing the magnets on different metals that you and your child are wearing. This is an educational and an entertaining experiment.

1
Pass out a variety of magnets to your children.

2
Place a variety of metal objects on your body. For example, line an old necklace with old bolts made of iron or steel. Wear a bracelet made out of a spoon. Put on a brass ring or a copper brooch. Make a bracelet or necklace out of aluminum foil. Put on a gold or silver ring. Be creative with putting on a variety of different kinds of metals.

Ask your children to test magnetism of the metals by placing the magnet near each metal item you are wearing. The stronger the magnetism, the stronger the "pull" will be of the magnet to the metal. If the metal is magnetic (and all the above examples are), then the magnets will stick to your jewelry.
