How to Stack Zerglings for "StarCraft"
Stacking units in "StarCraft" has always been a challenge for Starcraft players, but a challenge that brings great reward. By stacking units in "StarCraft," players can gain an edge by reducing the surface area that is available for the enemy to attack, and to which the enemy can deal damage. One of the more frustrating units to stack in Starcraft is the Zerg's zerglings, whose speed makes them a frustrating and difficult unit to stack. Yet, with patience and knowhow, this goal can be achieved, with all the benefit it entails.

Stacking Zerglings
-
1
Create a group of at least 12 zerglings and place them in one area. Double-click on each zergling to select it, and attach each to the same hotkey by pressing "Shift" and the key on the keyboard that you would like to press later to select them all together. By doing this, you can have quick access to your zerglings rather than having to scroll with your mouse to find their individual locations.

2
Press your assigned hotkey to gather your zerglings in one click rather than scrolling and selecting all of them manually. When your zerglings are in the same relative area, set the "Patrol" option (press "P" on your keyboard) for your zerglings and set the two patrol points for your zerglings as close together as possible. By doing this, you place the patrol points so close that the zerglings stay still while they are all stacked.

3
Keep your zerglings in this position for maximum stationary stacking. If you wish to move your zerglings, continually right-click one of your zerglings with the selected group of zerglings. By right clicking the zergling, the other zerglings will follow and protect the right-clicked zergling. By using this method, you can create an efficient stacking method for your zerglings.
