How to Make Backgrounds on a Computer With Your Name Glittering in the Back
Text with a glitter effect is often seen on social networking sites as a way to draw attention to a person's name or an important message. In many cases, the text actually sparkles and glitters with animation. Creating sparkling text and adding it to the desktop of your computer can be a way of adding interest and customization to your computer. You may even wish to create multiple versions of sparkling text and periodically rotate between them for variety.

Visit Family Lobby, Sparklee or Comment Haven to begin generating your sparkling text.

Type your name or other message into the "Text" or "Message" field. Adjust the font size, color and style until you have a result you like. Choose a large font size for best results.

Right-click the sample of your text in the preview window. Choose "Save Image As" and select a location to save the file. The file will save as a "GIF" document.

Right-click anywhere on your desktop and choose "Properties". Click the "Desktop" tab in the window that opens. Click "Customize Desktop."

Click "Browse" and browse to the location of your GIF document. Double-click to open it. Click "OK" to save this setting.

Click "OK" in the Display Properties window. The animated GIF should now be added to your desktop.

Double-click the animated GIF to bring up the controls. Click and drag the bar above the image to move it around. Click and drag the lower-right corner to change the size of the GIF.
