How to Make Your Voice Funny After Inhaling Helium
Helium is largely known for two things. It will make balloons float in the air, and it will also make your voice sound funny temporarily when you inhale it. This effect happens because helium is less dense than air. Therefore, your vocal chords' vibrations travel faster through helium, and this increases the frequency of the sound waves you are producing. As a result, your voice is altered. Making funny voices after inhaling helium occurs naturally. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Fill a small balloon with helium from a helium tank. Never inhale directly from the tank itself because you can damage your lungs.
-
2
Hold the balloon's opening to your mouth and breathe in a small amount. Only inhale in small breaths. If you breathe in too much at once, you could become light-headed or pass out temporarily. Keep the inhaled helium in your chest cavity as much as possible by not exhaling much once you have breathed it in.

Sing a song or recite lines from a film while your voice is still affected by the helium. Your voice will naturally be altered but singing or speaking in a higher register than normal will amplify the effect for greater humor.
