      Fill a garden sprayer with a mixture of one part water to one part white distilled vinegar. For smaller applications, a spray bottle is sufficient.

      Search for slugs during the night-time hours with a flashlight. Check the ground surrounding garden plants and the leafy areas of the plant. Also, look at damp areas of the basement.

      Spray the vinegar solution directly on the slugs.
