To create a photo that will float on water without ruining the photo, have the photo laminated.Take your photo to a copy center that has a professional, hard-coating lamination service. This will not ensure water does not damage the photo, but your photo is better protected if it is in a professional lamination than using self-lamination sheets.

Instructions

1. Take your photo to a copy center and get it laminated with hard-plastic coating. If this shield is not available, then get the soft-plastic coating. Either way, a copy center's professional sealing machine will help to better ensure your photo is sealed around the edges.

2. Fill up a bathtub or sink with water. Floating a photo on water is a great way to teach your children about the properties of buoyancy.

3. Place the photo on the surface of the water. It will float.
